Ingredients
  • 8 all-beef hotdogs (sliced in half lengthwise)
  • 1 pound ground beef (80% lean)
  • 1 small red pepper (diced)
  • 1 small yellow onion (diced)
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 cup low carb tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • salt and pepper
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and lightly grease a 7x9-inch glass baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Line the bottom of the baking dish with hotdogs then set aside.
  3. Combine the ground beef, peppers, onions, and garlic in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Cook until the beef is browned, breaking it up into chunks with a wooden spoon.
  5. Stir in the tomato sauce, water, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and seasonings.
  6. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer on medium-low for 30 minutes.
  7. Spoon the chili over the hotdogs and sprinkle with cheese.
  8. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the cheese is hot and bubbling.
  9. Rest for 10 minutes before serving.
